Delivered in spring 2009, the 85.5m / 281ft (Y704) VIBRANT CURIOSITY, (Y704), was Nuvolari Lenard’s third project with Oceanco.

The yacht has many outstanding features including an astonishing amidships atrium with panoramic exterior views and a vast beach club deck area with a 7m (23ft) swimming pool and three skylights integrated into the pool floor. She can accommodate up to 18 guests, including the owner, in a master stateroom, one VIP suite with his & her bathrooms, five double VIP suites and two double guest cabins.

The owner’s suite and private foredeck is located on the upper deck while the majority of guest cabins are on the main deck. On the lower deck, adjacent to a teak-lined lobby with lift access and a large shell door in the side of the hull, is a VIP cabin. The novel layout of the guest accommodation continues on the skylounge deck that features two identical VIP cabins with bathrooms that look out onto the open aft deck. Yet the single most intriguing aspect of the interior layout is how the main entrance has been placed not on the main deck, traditionally from the starboard side, but from the swim platform on the lower deck. From here guests enter a corridor between the two tender bays that is illuminated by what appears to be three round skylights, but are in fact windows in the bottom of the swimming pool on the upper deck. By putting the swimming pool on the upper deck, which also affords more privacy, the yacht’s designers in conjunction with the engineers were able to create a space underneath for the corridor on the lower deck.

Powered by twin 4,680hp/3,492kW MTU 16V 595 TE 70 engines, Vibrant Curiosity reaches speeds of about 20 knots.

The upper deck is home to a sumptuous skylounge and outdoor entertaining deck with a sizeable circular pool whose translucent bottom is visible from the main deck below. Y708 - 2013 1

The owner of the magnificent 85.6m (281ft) Igor Lobanov-designed Y708 has not one, but two decks for his use. Lobanov’s concept moved the navigational bridge down to the upper deck so the owner could have a stateroom aft where it opens to a massive sun deck, or alternatively, forward with balconies and a walk round with seating forward. The sun deck is also made available for the owner’s exclusive use. The clean modern décor of the late Alberto Pinto creates a relaxed airy atmosphere throughout the yacht.

The upper deck has two VIP cabins, both of which enjoy cleverly engineered permanent balconies extended out by exclusive fold-down bulwarks. Without crew intervention, they can, at the push of a button, fold down while stanchions and handrails automatically deploy. Even with these closed, there is a substantial half-shaded area for the VIP guests to lounge when under way. Passing through the adjacent atrium, VIPs find the upper deck lounge, which is also a cinema. The main deck below accommodates eight guests in four generous staterooms amidships where motion is minimised. Aft is an airy formal dining room and forward are the captain’s quarters with ship’s office and cabins for five staff.

The yacht has a massive garage capable of carrying two substantial tenders, a 6m (19.68ft) ski boat, as well as water toys and the technical support logistics they all need. The service and technical spaces are designed to ensure hotel services of the highest standards without any obtrusion on guest privacy. The Rolls Royce Aquarius 100 retractable at-anchor stabilisers ensure guest comfort in any sea condition. Large MTU main engines and thrusters together with the superior visibility achieved through foldout wing stations, provide enhanced manoeuvrability even in the most severe sea conditions.
