Oceanco yachts are built with meticulous dedication to the vision of both the owner and designer. The benchmark of an Oceanco-built yacht is high-tech engineering and innovation, precise Dutch craftsmanship, and quality controls at every stage, down to the smallest detail.

Delivered in 2000, the 52m /170ft SUNRISE (ex ACCLAIM) a product of Oceanco’s “A” Group naval engineering and architecture division, arrived from South Africa at the Dreummel yard as a bare steel hull and superstructure. She was Oceanco’s first yacht to be completed for an owner and not on speculation. That same first owner kept the yacht for 11 years and cruised her over 125,000 miles throughout the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the US, and Mexico, sometimes spending half the year aboard. When he was ready to move on to other projects he finally sold the boat in late 2012. At that time the new owner had the yacht refit.

SUNRISE’s main deck interior, designed by Jean Pierre Fantini, is a masterful example of spaciousness, divided into two areas. Forward of the rounded sliding glass doors is the salon, beautifully furnished with a built-in couch and entertaining area. A majestic staircase separates the salon from an exquisite dining room. Natural light from the lateral windows accentuates the beauty of the two rooms.

The rest of the deck is given over to the owner’s suite. The suite is divided into three useful spaces. A private passageway leads to the office, which is furnished with a desk, two sofas and a fanned stairway to the bedroom. The cabin is round and completely surrounded by windows that provide a 180-degree view of the sea.

The lower deck is divided into two areas by the engine room. The forward section comprises six double occupancy cabins for the crew, crew mess and laundry room. In the aft section are the five guest cabins, three of which are VIPs that benefit from their proximity to a workout room.

The yacht is powered by twin 1,741hp (1,279kW) MTU 12V396TE94 diesels that give her a top speed of 17 knots.

Oceanco’s new 90m motoryacht, Y717—with its modern revolutionary exterior styling by DeBasto Design and sophisticated interior design by Nuvolari Lenard— is unlike any other superyacht afloat today. Her groundbreaking design and technological advances bear the unmistakable DNA of an Oceanco: she reflects the latest advances in glass technology and she is the first yacht in the Netherlands to be given the official Lloyd’s Register Integrated Bridge System (IBS) notation and designation.

Black Pearl - 2018 1
Black Pearl - 2018 2

The three-masted sailing yacht Black Pearl is unlike any yacht the world has ever seen. This unique and complex vessel is the realization of a discerning Owner’s vision. She is the result of an elaborate and successful collaboration on the part of an international group of designers, engineers, naval architects, builders, and project managers. The designers Ken Freivokh Design, Nuvolari Lenard and Villate Design all played a significant role in Black Pearl’s design evolution. Dykstra Naval Architects designed Black Pearl’s three 70 meter (230ft) DynaRig carbon masts and sailing system. The sail area is subdivided into smaller lesser-loaded sails and they can be set or furled by pushing a button. Astonishingly, all 2,900 square meter of sails can be set in 7 minutes.BMT, Nigel Gee collaborated with Oceanco to create Black Pearl’s hybrid propulsion system as well as other onboard systems such as waste heat recovery.

Not only does she have a particularly striking exterior profile created by Lobanov Design, and a distinguished interior by Sorgiovanni Designs, but also she is the largest yacht ever built at Oceanco and has the distinction of being the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands. Displacing over 4,500 Gross Tons, with 16.4m/54ft beam, this formidable yacht still manages to maintain a very noble and original profile from bow to stern. Her progressively longer horizontal blue lines make JUBILEE truly distinctive from all other yachts. Built to the Passenger Yacht Code, her Sam Sorgiovanni designed interior is both spacious and rich, offering accommodation for up to 30 guests in 15 staterooms including an entirely private owner’s deck.
