‘We designed Silver Ocean to have a sleek, pure line with dynamic elements, so it appears to be in motion, even when still; we drew inspiration from aviation and automotive design, as well as fluid natural elements. It has an elusive look, with the over hangs in particular enhancing this perception. The profile features three character lines that emerged from our first concept sketches and which became ‘slits’ of light that characterize Silver Ocean at anchor.”

“On Silver Ocean, there is an emphasis on external spaces and the large aft decks have wide visibility, free from obstruction by structural elements. The main deck’s pool features a glass bulwark to provide a clear view of the panorama from inside, so it feels like swimming in the sea. The beach club has three parts: a panoramic jacuzzi area, a central lounge and a gym. The owner’s suite has a private terrace with pool and fluid stairway leading to the helipad on the bow.”

“I have a vision that we must design the beautiful. Even if this is a personal and subjective concept, for me what’s at the heart of a beautiful, winning design are the fundamental proportions, which are instantly recognizable. So our first considerations for a yacht design are not details, nor layouts, but the proportions, the volume, the idea. We could never create a beautiful yacht if this embryonic phase doesn’t begin from our heart and follow our mood.”
