Pantheon 1

Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design has created this 87m superyacht concept, PANTHEON for Oceanco, as a response to feedback from the market for yachts of this size. Gobbi has designed a yacht with an imaginative interpretation of propulsion, layout and interior design to reflect ‘a sleek design, nicely proportioned and stylish, but not a big palace’. ‘One of the briefs was to have a lot of glass – clients want wide windows for views’. Gobbi meshed the requirement for glass with the popular feature of a private owner’s deck.‘On the two uppermost decks is the two-level master suite,’ he says. ‘It’s common to have this location but in this case, the owner has an incredible panoramic view from a private ‘glasshouse’ / sky lounge located on the top deck.’ The sky lounge, which is essentially a ‘glasshouse’, includes the evening area, which as well as offering exceptional views outside, could also be configured to overlook the private suite’s living areas located on the deck directly below through a big atrium with a scenic round staircase that connects the two Owner deck levels. The external deck of the upper level is exclusive to the owner, with a big Jacuzzi pool in the front sun area. The owner could arrive by helicopter using the touch-and-go pad on the upper deck aft and walk straight into the lower level of the suite – without passing through any guest areas.

With the intention of maintaining the exceptional views throughout the ship’s design, a two-deck-high section of the superstructure amid ship leans outboard towards the sea creating panoramic view points from all decks whilst simultaneously flooding the interiors with natural light. As with many of Oceanco’s yachts the stern of the ship hosts an impressively spacious beach club. However, this concept houses a large pool split over two levels connected by a waterfall. The upper pool features a large bathing area and a bar with the water cascading into the lower deck pool which can be used as a Jacuzzi /whirlpool. Furthermore, the transom folds out to create an incredible extended beach deck for lounging and entertaining. However, security is never breeched, as when the transom is closed, as well as offering an elegant and aesthetic line to the yacht it also guarantees maximum security. Subject to owner preferences the yacht will have four double guest cabins and two very large VIP suites on the upper deck, and it will sleep 27 crew plus the captain. Oceanco's Y-coded generation of hulls could form the basis of Gobbi's 87m and the design has been assessed technically as far as possible so that upon commission it will be ready-to-build.

DreAMBoat - 2019 1

Oceanco’s new 90-meter superyacht Y716 DreAMBoat was successfully launched on 13 February 2019. Oceanco’s 90-meter DreAMBoat (Y716) is a first-time design collaboration between Espen Øino International and Terence Disdale Design.  At 2950GT, the volume allows for luxurious accommodation for up to 23 guests and a well thought- out crew’s quarters for a maximum of 33 crew members.

The generous overhangs from the superstructure and cut outs in the bulwarks lend a classic and strong appearance. The overall effect, is a yacht with clean uncluttered lines and a coherent design. The design emphasis is on large windows that flood the interior with daylight and offer unspoiled views from the inside out. Outside spaces feature a large swimming pool on the main aft deck, an enormous partially enclosed sundeck with Jacuzzi and copious options for seating/ entertaining. There is also a private Jacuzzi on the Owner’s deck. The interior design is sophisticated and serene with Disdale’s inimitable attention to detail. Nearly everything onboard from furniture to lighting is custom made.

Terence Disdale, has created an interior that  incorporates bespoke surfaces, natural wood, limestone floors, semi-precious stone vanities, parchment, leather and mother of pearl. The effect is chic without being overdone..

State- of- the- art technology prevails from all aspects. For instance, this yacht includes a complex IP ship’s computer operating system as well as full carbon canopy mast house and mast which forms an integral part of the overall design.

Black Pearl - 2018 1
Black Pearl - 2018 2

The three-masted sailing yacht Black Pearl is unlike any yacht the world has ever seen. This unique and complex vessel is the realization of a discerning Owner’s vision. She is the result of an elaborate and successful collaboration on the part of an international group of designers, engineers, naval architects, builders, and project managers. The designers Ken Freivokh Design, Nuvolari Lenard and Villate Design all played a significant role in Black Pearl’s design evolution. Dykstra Naval Architects designed Black Pearl’s three 70 meter (230ft) DynaRig carbon masts and sailing system. The sail area is subdivided into smaller lesser-loaded sails and they can be set or furled by pushing a button. Astonishingly, all 2,900 square meter of sails can be set in 7 minutes.BMT, Nigel Gee collaborated with Oceanco to create Black Pearl’s hybrid propulsion system as well as other onboard systems such as waste heat recovery.
