TRANQUILITY, (Y709), (formerly Equanimity) is the first private luxury superyacht designed and built to be Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) compliant. Dedicated to the comfort and well being of up to 26 guests and up to 33 crew in a flexible accommodation plan, she meets all safety requirements without forfeiting any aesthetic and technical elements. Oceanco’s Monaco-based in-house design department created a chic, clean modern profile on an initial ice-breaking hull. Among other magnificent appointments, one of her highlights is a spectacular beach club with folding platforms giving direct access to the sea, and inclusive of a gymnasium, massage room, sauna, steam room, experiential shower and plunge pool. The upper deck is home to a sumptuous skylounge and outdoor entertaining deck with a sizeable circular pool whose translucent bottom is visible from the main deck below. Her beautiful interior décor exudes a distinct Asian flair and benefits from Winch Design’s extreme attention to detail.

The spectacular 88.5m /290ft NIRVANA, (Y707), was the largest yacht of its generation. Sam Sorgiovanni Designs was responsible for the exterior styling and interior design. She made her debut at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show, where she was the largest yacht on display. Her hull has a slightly flared bow and swooping curve that begins aft of amidships. The mahogany look of bright work on the transom and cap rail provides a contrast to the modernity and whimsy one finds in the interior design of the boat. Of note, are the two large reptile tanks on display in the salon. Also on the main deck are guest accommodations for up to twelve, including a VIP suite with a lounge that is convertible into a twin cabin plus a commodious his & hers bathroom, as well as four queen-size VIP cabins.

On the main aft deck, NIRVANA features an immense oval-shaped 7.5m pool with a depth of 1.4m. This fresh–and- seawater pool with height-adjustable floor is the very first one that Oceanco has made out of glass reinforced plastic (GRP). A variable jet stream permits swimmers to swim laps in place. The twin 4000 series MTU main engines afford her a maximum speed of 20 knots, and a cruising speed of 14 knots that gives a range of well over 5,000 nautical miles. With large tanks and plenty of storage capacity, NIRVANA has everything needed for lengthy expeditions.

Luxurious, powerful and technologically unparalleled, the 85.5m (281ft) teal blue-hulled SUNRAYS, (Y705), delivered in March 2010, is the product of Oceanco and Azure Naval Architects, the late designer Björn Johansson (exterior) and Terence Disdale (interior). The upper deck is given over to the owner’s suite and an adjacent VIP suite that can be combined to create one expansive living area. Both suites have fold-down sea balconies. The owner’s exterior foredeck hosts a whirlpool and sunbathing area. The remainder of the yacht’s accommodations for up to 16 guests is on the main deck with one VIP stateroom and four guest cabins.

Her large dining room can be converted into a videoconference room with the optional use of the adjacent library. Foldable sea balconies provide guests unimpeded views while dining. A second whirlpool is located on the aft bridge deck close to the gym.

Many spaces within may be opened or closed from each other, often using hidden sliding doors. The Captain of this yacht calls it “the most versatile interior I have seen – the ultimate guest and owner’s yacht.” SUNRAYS is indeed the ultimate statement Bjorn Johansson and the owner envisaged. Her striking topsides shimmer in the sun, and at night she floats ethereally over her 56 underwater lights.
